People living at the Bayview 60 Homes apartment building were forced out of their homes unexpectedly on Monday when engineers uncovered major structural issues. About 60 families live in the five-story Bayview 60 Homes, at 3800 NE 168th Street, which will be condemned around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A North Miami Beach woman was arrested after her five-year-old son was found wandering alone in a convenience store. According to North Miami Beach police, on Wednesday officers were sent to a 7-Eleven in the 15000 block of W Dixie Highway after they received a call about the boy. After speaking with him, the boy took the officers to where he and his mother, 29-year-old Shawaneky Galumette, live but no one was home. MIAMI (CBSMiami) – North Miami Beach Police Chief Richard Rand has had a change of heart and will stay on the job after meeting with the city manager. In a statement Rand said, “I am very committed to my officers and staff and the community. I deserve to fully return and take care of my family. North Miami Beach Mayor Anthony DeFillipo confirmed Rand’s resignation. He said the the resignation came after issues with City Manager Arthur H. MIAMI (CBSMiami) – An investigation is underway after an early morning fire at a North Miami Beach condo. It happened around 4 a.m. at the Crestview Towers at 2025 NE 164th Street. There was no one inside the building at the time since it had been was deemed unsafe following the Surfside condo collapse.
