ARCADIA (CBSLA) — An Arcadia man shot another man during an attempted burglary in Arcadia Saturday morning. The suspect had entered the home of the man at around 1 a.m. on Tyler Avenue, when the homeowner shot him. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to the scene where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. ARCADIA (CBSLA) — A man was sent to the hospital after an explosion at a marijuana lab in Arcadia on Monday afternoon. Arcadia first responders were dispatched after authorities received calls of an apparent structure fire at the 11700 block of Goldring Road. When members of both the Arcadia Police Department and Arcadia Fire Department arrived at the scene, medics began to treat the injured man. According to Craig Robertson, the attorney for Medina Spirit’s trainer Bob Baffert, Medina Spirit suffered a heart attack after a workout. ARCADIA (CBSLA) – Restiany, a four-year-old racehorse, died due to a training injury sustained on Thursday, November 25 according to state officials. Records indicate that Restiany is the 20th racehorse to die at Santa Anita Park this year – the ninth by training fatality. Two of the deaths are listed as “unknown,” while the final nine were racing deaths. Restiany’s cause of death is listed as musculoskeletal by the California Horse Racing Board. ARCADIA (CBSLA) — Police arrested 31-year-old Michael Jonathan Price after he allegedly beat his 71-year-old mother and prompted the evacuation of an Arcadia neighborhood Thursday after refusing to comply with officers’ commands. Authorities were called to a report of battery at about 9:40 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of East Camino Real Avenue. ARCADIA (CBSLA) – A woman was killed Saturday in a car-to-car shooting and crash on the 210 Freeway in Arcadia, and the gunman remains at-large. The incident occurred at about 9:05 a.m. on the eastbound 210 Freeway, near the Baldwin Avenue offramp. ARCADIA (CBSLA) – Authorities with the Arcadia Police Department said Saturday a suspected drunk driver may have triggered an accident that killed a motorist in another vehicle and seriously injured the passenger.
