The man accused of making a social media threat against Bell Gardens High School was arrested with stolen guns and a large cache of ammunition, according to police.
Rene Alvizo, 21, a resident of Bell Gardens, faces charges of making terrorist threats, possession of stolen property, and grand theft of a firearm.
On Sunday, authorities became aware of a social media post that included a video showing a weapon and the high school, and were "able to identify the suspect that had made the threat,” the Bell Gardens Police Department said in a news release.

Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a woman during a dog robbery in Bell Gardens on Monday.
Video captured from a nearby business showed the violent assault taking place in broad daylight.
The robbery occurred on the sidewalk along the 6600 block of Eastern Avenue around 12:30 p.m., according to the Bell Gardens Police Department.
Surveillance video shows the female suspect attempting to take the victim’s one-month-old Maltipoo puppy. As the victim tries taking the puppy back, the suspect punches the victim in the face.

One person was hospitalized after a driver plowed into a building in Bell Gardens Monday morning.
The crash was reported around 1 a.m. in the 5500 block of Gage Avenue, a Bell Gardens Police Department spokesperson confirmed.
Video showed the vehicle hit the corner of the building and remained partially inside the structure before coming to a stop.
One person was taken to a local hospital but the spokesperson could not confirm if the injured party was the driver.
No further details about what caused the driver to hit the building were immediately available.

A man suspected of raping a 14-year-old at knifepoint last week in Bell Gardens is now in custody, police announced Monday.
Police said the assault occurred March 24, when the victim was coerced into a residential garage by a man later identified by police as Robert Nunez.
Nunez, said to be a local transient, tied up the teen with the help of a second man and proceeded to rape the victim, according to a previous Long Beach Police Department news release.

The Bell Gardens Police Department is looking for a transient who raped a 14-year-old at knifepoint, police said.
The transient, Robert Nunez, coerced the teen into a garage in Bell Gardens Thursday night and, with the help of another man, tied the teen up and raped them at knifepoint, police said in a news release.
The other man, 41-year-old Jaomir Perez, was taken into custody on Thursday, police said, but they're continuing to search for Nunez.
Nunez, who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, has brown hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion, police said.

One person was killed and another was wounded when gunfire broke out during an apparent attempted robbery at a marijuana store in Bell Gardens Wednesday night, officials said.
Police first got a call about shots fired at the business in the 5800 block of Florence around 7:54 p.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Bell Gardens Police Department officers responded to find two people, either in their late teens or early twenties, suffering from gunshot wounds.

A Los Angeles-area casino will pay $500,000 to settle allegations that it violated anti-money laundering laws by failing to properly file reports about a Chinese player who spent millions in cash, authorities announced Friday.

Police are asking the public for help Tuesday in the possible abduction of a female in Bell Gardens that was captured on video over the weekend.
Authorities were first informed of the video about 10 p.m. Sunday, nearly 24 hours after the incident took place in the 6500 block of Toler Avenue, a news release from the Bell Police Department stated.

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in a burning home in Bell Gardens early Sunday morning, officials said.
Police responded to the call of a structure fire at approximately 3:56 a.m. on the 5700 block of Live Oak Street.
Bell Gardens Police Officers, along with Los Angeles County Fire Department Personnel found a Hispanic woman in her 60s unresponsive inside the home.
