FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Nearly $700,000 in upgrades are coming to two regional airports in Kentucky. According to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Federal Aviation Administration will award $379,620 to Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah and $294,000 to Stuart Powell Field in Danville. The funding will help overhaul “critical infrastructure” needs at both airports. The money is funded through the Airport Infrastructure Grant program, established in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Mayfield, Ky (WTVQ) — Three Lowe’s across Kentucky gave back to the community on Saturday. One in Mayfield and two in Paducah. The company give out free buckets of cleaning supplies to Kentucky residents impacted by flooding in the region. The stores distributed more than 450 free buckets with supplies. Police were searching for the pair after their 2-year-old daughter tested positive for cocaine. PADUCAH, Ky. (WTVQ) — Paducah police say they’re looking for two people after their 2-year-old child tested positive for cocaine. On Sunday, Chrishell Burns and Jakyron Burnside brought their 2-year-old daughter to a local emergency room, saying she was lethargic, in and out of consciousness and having trouble breathing. Public can view steel truss being placed atop bridge piers

(AP) – Officials say construction of the new U.S. 60 Cumberland River Bridge in western Kentucky will take a big step forward this month as crews plan to float a 700-foot steel truss up the river and install it. A statement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the truss will be floated from Paducah to the construction site at Smithland where it will be placed atop the main piers. Remains of Kentucky sailor killed at Pearl Harbor to be buried in Paducah

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The remains of a sailor who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor will finally be coming home to Kentucky next month. The military identified the remains of Navy Fireman 2nd Class Hal J. Allison late last year. Allison was 21 on the battleship USS Oklahoma when he died in the Dec. 7, 1941, attack, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency said in a media release. Allison’s family was recently notified, according to the news release. He will be buried in Paducah on April 8.
