Residents in Aliso Viejo are speaking out against local officials, saying the herbicides being sprayed in their neighborhoods are making them sick. Locals said they’ve been complaining about the chemicals for months, however, the Aliso Viejo Community Association claims there’s nothing to worry about. Carolyn McCuan, an Aliso Viejo resident, said the chemicals have caused her to suffer a variety of symptoms. “I had headaches, rashes on my face and arms, chronic fatigue,” said McCuan. Authorities are searching for a missing man who disappeared in Orange County this week. Jacob Mykel Gendusa, 30, was last seen on Aug. 14 when he left his Aliso Viejo home at an unknown time, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.  He drove his 2013 white Toyota Prius to an unknown destination. A Laguna Hills drug dealer was sentenced Friday to 20 years in federal prison after a pair of his customers overdosed on fentanyl in a six-week span in 2021. A substitute teacher at Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo is facing a criminal charge after he allegedly made a threat in the classroom Wednesday afternoon, causing a school-wide lockdown.
