Land O’ Lakes, FL – (July 5, 2021) – Superintendent Kurt Browning announces that all Pasco County public schools and offices will close on Tuesday, July 6 at 3pm and remained closed all day Wednesday, July 7, due to the high probability that Pasco County will experience tropical storm force conditions late Tuesday into Wednesday. Closures include Extended School Year (ESY), PLACE child care program, STAR, VPK, and Early Head Start. Wesley Chapel & Land O’ Lakes – Just last night Burglars were working their way through Wesley Chapel and Land O’ Lakes neighborhoods stealing from cars in driveways. At about 2AM on May 29th a younger, slender build, black male suspect in a black hoodie with tan shorts and flip flops in a white SUV driven by others went door to door in Seven Oaks, Foggy Ridge area, and other communities stealing from cars. WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – Pasco County Schools’ requirement that students, staff, and visitors wear masks or face coverings on all Pasco school campuses and district offices will end at the close of business on Friday, May 28. A new executive order was issued Monday, April 5th 2021 that repealed the previous emergency order that required facemasks at indoor locations throughout Pasco County. Pasco County Government is recommending the continued use of face coverings in most indoor public places where social distancing cannot be maintained; however, effective immediately, face coverings are no longer required by law.
