DESOTO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – DeSoto Police are investigating the late Saturday night shooting of a man and woman, both 17, in the 1400 block of Deborah Avenue. On Feb. 26 at about 9:00 p.m., residents near the address called police to report a shooting. Officers began heading to the scene, but while on the way, the woman called police and told them she and her boyfriend had been shot and were now at a nearby gas station. DESOTO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – DeSoto Police are investigating a pre-dawn double shooting at a house on Eldorado Drive that has left one man dead and sent another into emergency surgery before being placed under police custody. DESOTO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A 19-year-old suspect has been found in Arizona and charged for the murder of a man who was waiting to enter the gate of a ranch in DeSoto last weekend, police said. The suspect, Evan McMaryion, is currently awaiting extradition back to Texas after investigators determined he is allegedly responsible for the Saturday, May 15, incident. DESOTO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – One person has been injured after a gun went off inside a Walmart in DeSoto late Tuesday afternoon, police said. The incident happened at the store on Belt Line Road near Cockrell Hill Road just after 5 p.m. Police said they believe the incident was an “accidental discharge” by a customer who had the weapon concealed when it was fired.
