NOVATO (CBS SF) – Police in Novato are searching for three people connected to an attack and shooting of a man in the parking lot of a hotel last week. According to officers, the victim was in the parking lot of the America’s Best Value Inn on Redwood Blvd. when was attacked around 9:15 p.m. on Friday. Police said the first suspect verbally confronted the victim and a physical fight occurred. After the assault, police said the victim was shot by a second suspect. NOVATO (CBS SF) — Investigators carefully searched the Novato High campus Friday afternoon after a bomb threat was called into the school and students were ordered to shelter in place. SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) — A 33-year-old Richmond man has been arrested for a series of brazen armed robberies of female shoppers in their 60s and 70s in San Rafael and Novato. San Rafael police said Deshawn Ford-Howard was booked into the Marin County Jail for robbery, false imprisonment, burglary, elder abuse, and unlawful use of an access card. NOVATO (CBS SF/BCN) – A Petaluma man died Monday morning after his motorcycle collided with two other vehicles along U.S. Highway 101 near Novato, according to the California Highway Patrol. The 46-year-old man was splitting lanes on southbound Highway 101 about 6:30 a.m., when traffic ahead slowed suddenly, the CHP said. TIBURON (CBS SF) — Marin County authorities have joined law enforcement agencies across the San Francisco Bay Area in a hunt for the source of anti-Semitic hate flyers that have been delivered to homes from Tiburon to Palo Alto.
