A woman who fell asleep in a trash bin in Buena Park and was dumped into a trash collection truck was rescued Friday morning, March 22, the Orange County Fire Authority said. Around 7:30 a.m., firefighters were called to the 8000 block of La Palma Avenue, a short distance from Knott’s Berry Farm, after the trash truck operator heard sounds coming from his truck, said Capt. Medieval Times performers who fought long and hard to unionize the Buena Park dinner theatre and another Medieval Times location in New Jersey were handed a defeat this week when other performers succeeded in removing union control of the castles. The move comes after a majority of actors backed petitions for the National Labor Relations Board to hold elections on whether to remove the American Guild of Variety Artists. The tofu maker Pulmuone Foods USA in Fullerton is expanding — in Buena Park. The company is doubling its office space, leasing an extra 7,000 square feet at Village Business Park. Terms of the lease expansion were not disclosed by Stanton Road Capital, which owns the property. Pulmuone first expanded to the business park in 2021. A man who died after Fullerton police officers shot him with bean bag rounds and a stun gun last week outside a McDonald’s restaurant has been identified. He was Alejandro Campos Rios, 50, the Fullerton Police Department said Monday. The agency said Rios had a P.O. Box in Buena Park but was homeless. Rios died at a hospital following the early morning encounter in the 1300 block of South Brookhurst Road, near Orangethorpe Avenue, on Wednesday, March 6.
