FORT NOVOSEL, Ala (WDHN) -- Flight training at Fort Novosel will continue despite rumors of funds being pulled from the base, military officials confirmed to WDHN. The rumors began after a post on X (formally known as Twitter) claimed that almost all of the funds for training at the Army Aviation Center at Fort Novosel were being taken away and allocated for Ukraine and Foreign Aid. The post said the training would halt on Wednesday, May 1, and not resume until late October. Brian Guice, 41, was arrested on Wednesday, May 1, and charged with one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle, one count of shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, and one count of certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
