CHICAGO (CBS)– Cook County is opening three new mass vaccination sites this week. A site in Forest Park, at 7630 W. Roosevelt Rd., opens Tuesday. The Matteson site, at 4647 Promenade Way, opens on Thursday and a site in Des Plaines, at 1155 East Oakton Street, opens on Saturday. The sites will be open Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment visit vaccine.cookcountyil.gov or call 833-308-1988. CHICAGO (CBS) — Four people were hospitalized after an eight-car crash Monday morning on the Tri-State Tollway in northwest suburban Des Plaines. Illinois State Police said eight vehicles were involved in the accident in the northbound lanes of Interstate 294 near Dempster Street around 8:30 a.m. Four people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. DES PLAINES, Ill. (CBS) — Gun owners have paid $11.1 million in taxes collectively all the times they have bought guns or ammunition in Cook County since 2013. The Illinois Supreme Court has now struck down the tax as unconstitutional. DES PLAINES, Ill. (CBS) — Just-released images Tuesday show that a suburban family had no path to escape when fire swept through their home two months ago.
