When He changes your plan?

So, in my last post we talked a little bit about when our plans don’t line up with God’s plan.  We understand that God is sovereign. The passage shows us God’ plan for Mary’s life.  God had pre-determined in Isaiah 9:6 that He would send His son Jesus through a virgin who happens to be Mary.  Therefore, we now see from the above-mentioned background, Mary had plans, Joseph had plans, and God had plans.  What do you do when the Plans collide?  The plans didn’t necessarily change but God inserted His pre-determined purpose into the plan.  Mary a virgin, re ..read more

Sometimes God gives you a message that hits you deep within your soul. This is one of those messages for me. Christmas is of course a good time to study Mary and the birth of Jesus. It was during one of these studies that God dropped this subject in my spirit. It is my sincere hope that as you read this you are as blessed as I and others were when Abba allowed me to teach it. Now in the sixth month…. the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth Luke 1:26 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens a ..read more

So, this week our Church is studying 1 Kings 17 & 18 and I’ll tell you these chapters have been yummy to my soul.  My spirit is being fed well.    Let’s dig into it today and if you have thoughts, and would like to share, feel free to comment below or reach out to me.  1 Kings 17  Elijah’s name means “Yahweh Is My God.”  The Canaanites believed that Baal controlled the rain, He was actually called the Lord of Rain and Dew, the two forms of moisture that were indispensable for fertile soil in Canaan. They knew that Elijah was declaring that his God ha ..read more

Healing Anxiety’s Plague Author: Evette Bradley Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 When Paul wrote this scripture, he was speaking to the Philippian church. But these principles apply to all believers. When we have difficulties, praying should be the first thing we do. We should also trust GOD to answer in HIS time and in HIS way. He has the power to change any situation, but HE will not be limited to how we think HE should answer our prayer. God does not promise to change every situa ..read more

A Vivi McCray Novella I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. Psalm 69:2 Mired Soul Dark and austere, were the words that came to her mind as she stood behind the closed door, looking around the room, her eyes taking in the well-worn carpet, washed out bedding and faded curtains. A room  where she sensed the desperate or needy came, including professional workers who of course  had their own set of needs.  As she walked towards the lumpy bed she could feel her body sinking, of it’s own accord, upon the dingy s ..read more

When one goes through trauma, especially a sexual trauma, it tends to take away your voice or at least diminish it. The pain can cause a person to completely lose who they were, are and had planned to be. Innocence lost is a lost like no other. It would seem unrecoverable. The pain is hard and some have a hard road to wholeness, some have PTSD for the rest of their lives, but with determination and hard work we can learn to love ourselves again. My therapy was writing poetry, writing in my journal or writing stories. I encourage you to write through the pain. It helps with the fearful attacks ..read more
