MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WDLB) - Marshfield Middle and High School students will go back to class part time this fall, while elementary kids will head back to their facilities full time. That was the recommendation from district administration approved on a unanimous vote by the Board of Education last night. Woman fired for removing Black Lives Matter sign

WAUSAU, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network)  A Wausau woman has lost her job with Mary Kay after being caught on video trying to take a Black Live Matter sign. The Wausau Pilot and Review reports that Linda Bersgon and her husband were caught by a security camera taking down a Black Lives Matter sign at a resort in Minnesota. They were let off with a warning by deputies, but Mary Kay executives were not so forgiving. She was dropped from her partnership with the cosmetics company. Several injured in semi-truck crash

TOWN OF RICHMOND, WI (WSAU-WAOW)  - Several people are seriously hurt after a car and a semi-truck crashed in Shawano County on Monday night.. A report from the Sheriff's Department says it happened around 9:30pm on Highway 29 at Clark Drive in the Town of Richmond. According to deputies at the scene, four people were ejected from the car and multiple people with serious injuries were transported to an area hospital. Their names and conditions are not known. Wausau School Board recommends school starts virtually

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- Students in Wausau will not be headed back to the classroom this fall for the foreseeable future. Monday evening the Wausau School Board voted in favor of a motion to start the school year virtually. School administration recommended the virtual start as opposed to two other options after consulting with local medical professionals, district parents, and district staff. Wausau School Board approves referendum, bonding proposal

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- The Wausau School Board has chosen to abandon the previously proposed referendum plan for a new version that does not raise property taxes while bonding for over $155 million in building and infrastructure improvements. WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU-WAOW) -- Officials from the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department confirm that a body was pulled out of the Wisconsin River Monday morning. The body is currently unidentified. Merrill trucker sentenced for child enticement

MERRILL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A long-haul truck driver from Merrill who sexually assaulted a child has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. Registered sex offender Brian Wickersham, 60, took a child on a four-day trip from Wisconsin to Virginia and back. During the trip, officials say Wickersham sexually assaulted the child and pressured him to engage in increasingly aggressive sexual acts. Overnight house fire in Knowlton

KNOWLTON, WI (WSAU-WTAQ) - A home in Knowlton went up in flames late Sunday night. Several departments responded to the scene around 11pm. Officials said it took about 2 hours to put the flames out which they initially thought was sparked by a downed power line. Fire officials on the scene said flames started in the attic and spread quickly after that. The cause of the fire is under investigation. WXPR Radio in Rhinelander has confirmed that Canadian National intends to sell off just over 450 miles of rail in both Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
