CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – He performed his own one-armed rescue, after a chainsaw accident in a tree left his other arm almost completely severed. Now a tree trimmer is recovering in the hospital after the job went horribly wrong in Citrus Heights. CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Two Citrus Heights people were sentenced to decades in prison after both were convicted of sexually assaulting children and being in possession of child pornography, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday. Robert Maths was sentenced on July 30 to 48 years, while Erin Mathis was sentenced to 33 years. CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A house fire in Citrus Heights has quickly turned into a criminal case and an arrest. Sacramento Metro Fire Department investigators and Citrus Heights police arrested homeowner Justina Daggett for arson, only hours after the fire at her house was put out. Cellphone video shows the flames shooting out of the Locher Way home at 2:30 a.m Tuesday with firefighters on scene. STANISLAUS COUNTY (CBS13) — A Citrus Heights woman was killed in a head-on crash along Highway 4 in far eastern Stanislaus County over the weekend. California Highway Patrol says, just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a reported crash along the highway near Dunton Road about 10 miles west of Copperopolis. Officers found that a sedan had crashed head-on in a pickup truck. Witnesses who were behind the sedan said the driver was weaving back and forth over the yellow lines before the crash. Though the department admits, Joseph Johnson was shot by mistake.
