Authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains along railroad tracks in La Habra Monday morning. Officers responded to the tracks near Idaho Street just before 10 a.m., according to La Habra Police. “Officers were able to locate the skeletal remains and have not made any identification at this time,” officials said in a statement. Fire crews rescued a calf that was trapped in a drain canal in La Habra on Saturday. The calf was found near Sonora High School on the 400 block of Palm Street around 6:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The young animal had jumped from the high school’s farming area before landing in the canal, officials said. Police are searching for a missing girl who disappeared in Orange County on Wednesday. The teen was identified as 15-year-old Alicia Alfaro by the La Habra Police Department.
