With incomprehensible emotional vocals, deep bass drum and eighties snares, we have Zen Hander bringing us their self-titled EP deriving straight out of San Antonio, Texas.   The four-track EP will be released on July 4th, and the dark synth project ranges throughout a variety of different sounds, electro-industrial to goth with elements of house and dance music.  Distancing itself from the ‘norm’ in electronic music, the Zen Hander EP gives a moody, atmospheric tone with a subtle hint of distorted ambience. With four dark, intense tracks, the two sides of the EP feature: Side ..read more

Written by Ruarí MacManus As our group approached the two thousand year old amphitheater, we could hear the sounds of Kraftwerk beginning their set. We had spent too long making our way there, trying our best to arrange taxis but due to our distinct lack of the local language it had proven difficult. It didn’t matter now though. We shuffled our way through the queue, the excitement rising as we edged ever closer to the entrance. As we made our way through the crowd and found ourselves the perfect spot, the next song emanated from the gargantuan speakers either side of the stage. The opening ch ..read more

Consider: ‘fun, hard-hitting techno built with controlled chaos and then sprinkled with EBM and acid.’   That’s how Swedish-born techno producer Niclas Erlandsson would describe his music and has been hard at work making his mark on the Berlin music scene since his move to the city in 2017.   We know that there is no shortage of musical talent in Berlin, notorious for its club scene and fast-paced techno - with many already having broken through to become names synonymous with their genre as such as Kobosil, Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann.  &nbs ..read more

The anti-Brexit march which saw one million protestors take to the streets of London to demand a Peoples Vote. It's that word that we have all definitely had more than enough of hearing by now. If you mention the word ‘Brexit,’ you’ll probably get responded to with either a huge sigh or an eyeroll right to the back of the head. If not that, then probably an enraged rant on how long the process is taking and how absurd the whole concept is. When imagining Jackie Moore’s ‘This Time Baby’ blasting through the streets of London with ‘Put it to the People’ placards and EU flags waving in the air ..read more
