POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho State Board of Education has unanimously approved a 3% increase in resident tuition and fees at each of Idaho’s public four-year institutions. At Idaho State University, yearly tuition is increasing from $8,356 to $8,610. "That 3% increase is going to equate to about $200 more a semester for our students and a total of about $400 a year for a full-time Idaho resident," said ISU Vice President of Student Affairs Craig Chatriand. Man arrested after Caldwell Park stabbing

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - A man is behind bars after a stabbing in Caldwell Park in Pocatello near South 8th Avenue. 45-year old Vidal Goins was arrested Wednesday on aggravated battery charges. One person was injured. Authorities said the person who was injured was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Governor Brad Little says it's a great time to be the governor of Idaho. Governor Little spoke to Highland High School students and staff about this year's legislative session.  BANNOCK COUNTY, Idaho - Prowlers are taking advantage of unlocked vehicles while people enjoy the outdoors.  The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office said it's receiving increasing reports of burglaries in unlocked vehicles at trailheads. POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Major progress is being made in multiple projects for the Pocatello Parks and Recreation department. Pocatello's Community Recreation Center is currently under a new remodel. They are finishing up a brand new fitness center at the facility, and will close their doors from May 20 through June 3 in order to finish that part of the project. POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Fish and Game successfully relocated the mountain lion spotted on the 1500 block of Sierra in Pocatello. At around 7am on Thursday, Pocatello Police Department responded to a call from neighbor Tiffany Hall who saw the mountain lion in a neighborhood tree. She first noticed the animal while checking on her dogs after they would not stop barking. Hall said she has always wanted to see one in person but is glad her dog Axel was there as protection. Sgt. POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Car enthusiasts are set to gather at the Pine Ridge Mall this weekend. The Phil Meador Autofest will be held at the mall in Chubbuck on Saturday and Sunday. The indoor car show will feature over 80 different cars and motorcycles from many different decades.
