Bristol AFed and our radical queer friends have put together another zine for Pride!
We’ll be handing out physical copies before Bristol’s Pride March. If you aren’t lucky enough to get one you can download the PDF, or view all the written context in plain text, with image descriptions. You might also want to take a look at last year’s zine. We have kept back a very small number, do get in touch if you’d like one. As with everyone we produce, feel free to make copies to share!
Next month we’re going to post an audio version! Something almost none of us have experience with, but we’ll hopefull ..read more

This May Day (2024) radical workers in Bristol opened the shutters of Hydra Bookshop for the first time in 4 years.
The bookshop had been a major anarchist educational and social space before being forced to close by the owners for gentrification as luxury housing.
On May Day the radical workers movement in Bristol gained entry and reclaimed the space so that once more it may be used and share a message of freedom, equality and international solidarity.

You may have noticed the site is a bit quiet of late, probably because post all of our cool news and analysis over on Organise Magazine. Rest assured the ‘fed is far from quiet, and we will be updating you more with all our various goings on right here in the near future.
In the mean time, check out this zine we at Bristol AFed made for pride. Whilst Pride is traditionally in June, Bristol has our celebration the first Saturday in July, so this upload is not late, but in fact, early.
Bristol AFed and friends will be handing out physical copies from our Pride’s radical bloc before the march ..read more

Three weeks ago we had the terrible news that long term IPP prisoner, anti-authoritarian, and all round bad-ass Taylor had died. Later that day some of us joined with other supporters and friends of Taylor’s to head to HMP Eastwood Park. Taylor may have died by their own hand, but it was no less a murder by HMP Eastwood Park who prefered to show brutality and transphobia than even the basic levels of respect that could have kept him going. It was a murder by all those who are part of the so-called Justice system that kept him inside for so long under IPP, a type of sentence since ruled illegal ..read more

For those of us surviving in London, the birthplace of capitalism and one of the places where the process of deterritorization, gentrification and individualisation of social life has reached its furthest phase, Exarchia has served as an example of resistance and counter-attack against those same forces for many years. As we struggle to fight against the death-machine of the colonialist capitalist heteropatriarchal white-supremacist nation-state in order to carve out a small measure of free and unmediated life, Exarchia reminds us what was taken from us and inspires us to create it once again ..read more

With the bosses? Never. With the union reps? Sometimes. With the rank and file? Always!
We at AFed give our full support to the striking workers of the RMT. Here we are publishing an article explaining the real reasons behind the action, from a friend and comrade who wishes to remain anonymous. There are pickets on every strike day (21st, 23rd, 25th), get down and support your local striking workers if you can!

Yesterday Bristolians from many different groups and backgrounds gathered together in response to a call under the slogan #BristolAgainstHate. The call was to oppose known transphobe, islamophobe, and all round bigot Posie Parker. She planned to visit Bristol, with her fan base, in order to ‘reclaim space’ to be as transphobic as possible in public.
Breaking with anarchist stereotypes we arrived early to the 12–noon anti-transphobia deonstration on College Green. Around twenty others had done likewise and stood around us as we set up a stall and gazebo. Bristol AFed, along with other f ..read more

Comrades in Ukraine sent us this reflection, written on the 7th of June, to our recent essay on the cost of living crisis in the UK. We are flattered that people in far more dire circumstances than we are would find that article interesting enough to warrant a response.. If you want to read more of their stuff in English, check out their articles on Libcom covering the situation in Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.
