MUNCIE — Indiana State Police are investigating after a deadly officer-involved shooting in Muncie.  Muncie police were called out just after 2 a.m. Sunday for reports of a suicidal person, whom they found in a car in an alley near 14th and High Street. MUNCIE, Ind. – Police arrested two women accused of spreading a white powder at Muncie City Hall in order to “rid evil” at the building. Their actions led to an evacuation Tuesday. According to court documents, police and hazmat teams were called to City Hall after the white powder was spotted. MUNCIE, Ind. — The Indiana State Police (ISP) arrested two Muncie residents on charges including possession of methamphetamine Tuesday. ISP said a traffic stop was made in Muncie on February 18 around 10 p.m. According to police, a green Ford Explorer on East Highland St. at North Penn St. failed to signal a turn and had no functioning license plate light. MUNCIE, Ind. — Muncie police say a dispute led to a deadly Thursday night shooting in the parking lot of a Walmart store. Police confirmed that officers responded to the Walmart at 1501 E. 29th Street around 11:18 p.m. on a report of a person shot. MUNCIE, Ind. – Authorities have closed their investigation into a double murder-suicide in Muncie from earlier this year. MUNCIE, Ind. — After years of negotiating, Muncie Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services are now up and running. City leaders say this is a way for Muncie to expand medical services while continuing to work with Delaware County. MUNCIE, Ind. – There are now 1,000 flags waving in a field at Minnetrista in Muncie. The display is called Flags of Honor and the Muncie Exchange Club is behind the project. The organization, along with help from the junior ROTC program at Muncie Central High School, put up the flags Wednesday morning. It will stay up until September 11, Patriots Day, and end with a closing ceremony. This is one of Muncie Exchange Club’s most visible projects. They have been doing it for the last several years.
