At 4:50 p.m., two teenagers approached a woman inside her white Grand Jeep Cherokee with a weapon aimed at her and demanded her vehicle, according to police. CHICAGO (CBS)– A man was shot during an attempted car burglary in the suburban Bolingbrook Monday night. According to Bolingbrook police, the man was inside his home when he heard a loud noise and saw a light on his vehicle just before midnight. He grabbed a gun and when to his vehicle to investigate. CHICAGO (CBS) — A Bolingbrook walking trail has been closed after a coyote attack over the weekend. A woman and her dog were walking along the Lily Cache Creek Trail shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday, when a coyote tried to nip at the woman’s feet and jump on her back. Bolingbrook police said coyote attacks against people are very rare, and the coyote that attacked the woman appeared to be in poor health. The woman and her dog were not hurt. BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) — Dykota Morgan was an artist and an athlete, and had an outgoing disposition. The Bolingbrook teen died three days after contracting COVID-19. On Thursday night, her mother wanted everyone to know how special she was. Dykota was 15 and a freshman at Bolingbrook High School. Her mother, Krystal Morgan, said her daughter complained of a headache on Saturday. The next day, she had a cough – and worse. Her mother then bought rapid COVID tests. AURORA, Ill. (CBS) — A driver remained on the loose late Sunday following a pursuit through multiple municipalities the night before. At 11:29 p.m. Saturday, Bolingbrook police were called about a white Jeep Cherokee that had already been pursued by Chicago Police and Westchester police for multiple traffic violations and was now entering Bolingbrook.
