NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA) — An Orange County Fire Authority employee pleaded guilty on Wednesday in an animal death case. 46-year-old Ryan John Monteleone of Menifee accepted a plea deal, which dismissed his felony count of cruelty to animals. Monteleone was accused of shooting his 4-year-old pit bull in the head and dumping the dog’s body in a trash bin at his workplace in Irvine, officials said. LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A Riverside County woman Wednesday pleaded guilty to a federal criminal charge for fraudulently obtaining more than $500,000 in pandemic-related unemployment benefits. Cara Marie Kirk-Connell, 32, of Menifee, pleaded guilty in Los Angeles to a single charge of credit card fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. (Riverside County Sheriff’s Department) Isaac Delarosa, 18, is wanted in a double-shooting which occurred on Feb. 9 at Eller Park, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported Tuesday. MENIFEE (CBSLA) — A new police station opened Wednesday in Menifee after one year of construction, bringing in a new era of law enforcement in the city. The Menifee Police Department began service Wednesday, officially opening its station. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were sent to the scene in the 3100 block of Sherman Road, near McCall Boulevard, shortly before 4 p.m. to investigate a domestic disturbance call. Benjamin was last seen at his school on the 25000 block of Ridgemoor Road at 2:35 p.m., on Sept. 5. He was described as 4’7″ with short brown hair and brown eyes.
