Drivers in one Hudson Valley county caught illegally passing school buses will soon start receiving steep fines. Beginning on Sunday, April 28, drivers who pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights in Putnam County will receive a violation notice in the mail, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday, April 24. Authorities are working to identify human remains that were discovered near a Hudson Valley road.  The body was found in Putnam County on Tuesday, April 16 in the area of Ice Pond Road in Patterson, Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police said on Wednesday, April 24.  The investigation to identify the remains is still in its "infancy," Hicks said, adding that no official connections to any missing persons cases have yet been made.  This is a developing story. A 46-year-old cab driver from Northern Westchester will spend more than a decade in prison for grooming and sexually abusing a young girl for nearly a year, officials announced.  Peekskill resident Luis Urgiles was sentenced to 16 years in state prison for engaging in sexual conduct with a young girl, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday, April 23.  According to the DA's Office, Urgiles, a cab driver in Peekskill, met the victim's family when they were passengers in his cab.
