DALY CITY (CBS SF) — A San Mateo County family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person they say recently attacked their elderly grandfather. Security video shows the moments a suspect kicked 84-year-old Salomon Hernandez to the ground. The incident happened right outside his front door in Daly City nine days ago. DALY CITY (KPIX) — Police in Daly City are investigating an unprovoked attack on an 84-year-old grandfather outside his house that was caught by surveillance cameras. On Friday evening just before 6 p.m., Salomon Hernandez had just finished mowing his front lawn at his house on Higate Drive. DALY CITY (BCN) — A 20-year-old man pleaded no contest this week to an attempted murder charge for a shooting in Daly City last year that left one person injured, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office. Lennard Holoman entered the plea Wednesday in connection with a shooting on Jan. 8, 2021, when he shot about 15 rounds into a vehicle that a man and his girlfriend were in after shopping at a store, prosecutors said. DALY CITY (CBS SF) — Rescue crews saved a man on Sunday who was trapped on a cliff in Daly City’s Palisades Park. Fire crews responded at 4:12 p.m. to a report of a man clinging to a cliff. The man hiked along the cliff to a portion that was too steep and arrow and was unable to get back to a walkable trail, the North County Fire Authority said in a statement. DALY CITY (BCN) — North County Fire Authority officials and the Daly City Police Department are investigating a house fire that left one woman dead on Saturday evening. A second resident of the house in the 500 block of King Drive was able to escape, said fire Battalion Chief Jeff Huntze.
