There is an urgent search underway for a Lewisville man and his car last seen in the Prosper area. Vishaal Makani, 25, has been missing since March 2, according to his family. Firefighter rescue teams recovered a construction worker who was killed when he was buried in a trench collapse on Friday afternoon. The cleanup from a tractor-trailer crash and fire took hours Wednesday, reducing traffic along northbound Interstate 35E to one lane as it moved through Lewisville. The truck was in the northbound lanes of I-35E Wednesday morning when Lewisville Police said it crashed into the retaining wall near the Garden Ridge exit at about 7:30 a.m. The truck, which police said was hauling home goods, caught fire when the gas tank ruptured. A Carrollton woman is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after being accused of stabbing her husband and then driving a vehicle with three children inside into a Lewisville retention pond.
