A Fairfield County man who allegedly assaulted and stabbed a 35-year-old woman and then fled has been captured by police. Smoke from wildfires burning across Canada could once again significantly affect air quality in the Northeast this year, according to a brand-new report. AccuWeather long-range forecasters say the 2024 wildfire season is expected to start in June and peak in September. A Fairfield County woman was busted for alleged DUI after she was seen by police sticking the roadside curbs and crossing over the double-yellow line. Norwalk resident Christina Alicea, age 29, was charged on Sunday, April 21, on Post Road in Darien. According to Darien Police Sgt. Police in Fairfield County are on the hunt for a man who allegedly assaulted and stabbed a woman during a fight. The incident occurred in Shelton at a home on Walnut Tree Hill Road around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. According to Lt. A much beloved Fairfield County fire marshal has died suddenly, just a year before he planned to retire. Three relatives were arrested following a wrong-way traffic stop on a Connecticut highway in which the women allegedly became combative with troopers. The Hartford County incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, on I-84 in Hartford.
