TEMECULA (CBSLA) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a Hemet man at The Bank in Old Town Temecula. (credit: CBS) Shots were reported at The Bank, a Mexican restaurant and bar in the 28600 block of Old Town Front Street, at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday. TEMECULA (CBSLA) — A pilot was killed after a small plane crashed in a Temecula field Tuesday. The small aircraft was reported down in field north of the 3200 block of Everview Terrace in Temecula at about 11 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department. SAN DIEGO (CBSLA) — Authorities have arrested a Rancho Cucamonga man in connection with his wife’s death nearly 20 years ago, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday. Laurie Diane Potter, 54, was killed in 2003, her legs found in a San Diego dumpster. Using genetic genealogy, investigators were able to identify her and on Friday announced her husband had been arrested in her killing. RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) – A 59-year-old Temecula man was arrested Wednesday on federal charges that he pilfered hundreds of thousands of dollars from the over $7 million he fraudulently received through the Paycheck Protection Program, using some of it to buy a luxury car and even trying to wire $150,000 of it to the African nation of Mauritania.
