SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Revive Salon in Santa Maria hosted "Margarita's & Mamacitas" a pop-up event with latina owned businesses in honor of Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day. The Revive crew says it is important to honor to Latin community in Santa Maria and all of the mothers in the community. Businesses came together and set up booths in the salon to greet guests. ORCUTT, Calif. – Fire crews responded to a structure fire at the 200 block of North Broadway in Orcutt, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department (SBCFD). One resident exited the home safely and the fire was mostly contained to the outside with minor interior damage to a bathroom, explained the SBCFD. No injuries were reported and not other structures were involved with the incident, detailed the SBCFD. SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The local community is asked for help locating Christopher Allen Rocco, a 65-year-old man from Santa Maria, who has been missing since April 26. SANTA MARIA, Calif. – The Santa Maria Police Department (SMPD) arrested one driver on DUI suspicion while conducting a checkpoint at the 900 block of West Betteravia Rd. from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday, according to the SMPD. This year’s judges are scientists and engineers from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Volunteers say working in stem is great for local students of all ages.
