Lets Remember The Time Jameer Nelson Turned Paul Pierce Into An Internet Sensation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lo7lsZkTaGU To this day, this is still one of the most catastrophic step backs in basketball history. I still remember the day it happened, the internet almost broke. Every social media platform was flooded with this video. We’ve seen people fall from crossovers and step backs before, but this one put Paul Pierce FLAT on his back. In fact Pierce was still on his back by the time the ball hit the rim. Something I’m not sure we’ve ever seen.  Now there is some speciation that comes along with this. Does the play even count? A pivotal part of making someone f ..read more

Matt Painter Goes On Rant About Matt Haarms, Nojel Eastern

Purdue has taken a couple hits this offseason when Matt Haarms and Nojel Eastern elected to enter the transfer portal. Reports say Matt Painter was not expecting these player to do such. Painter voiced his frustration earlier this week on The Dan Dakich Show. “I don’t mean to hurt anybody’s feelings, because I like the guys who have left my program,” Painter said. “I like both of them. But transfers don’t get drafted pretty much. It’s a very, very small percentage. … What I look at more than anything is embrace problems and embrace adversity and fight it. Don’t run from it. When you run from i ..read more

It appears the NBA season will be back and it’s just a matter of time before we can all rejoice. It was announced that now 10 teams have begun individual, voluntary workouts with the addition of Miami on Wednesday. Commissioner Silver has been rumored to say he will make a decision by, at maximum, mid-June on whether the season will resume. There’s been a push on the players side to resume the season, a collection of superstars held a conference call to discuss the possibility further. Among those apart of the call were: Chris Paul, LeBron, AD, KD, Giannis, Kawhi, Steph, Damian and Westbrook ..read more

The Patrick Ewing and Georgetown Circus continues as Matt "Mac" McClung withdraws from the NBA draft and enters the transfer portal. It was evidently clear that McClung and Ewing were never on the same page after and throughout this offseason. About a week ago Ewing said in an interview with Andy Katz that Matt McClung plans to return to Georgetown for his junior season. His agent quickly after made it clear that McClung was still exploring the NBA waters. Now McClung is transferring and plans to file a waiver to play immediately. McClung told ESPN “A number of different events made me feel I ..read more

Rip Hamilton Believes Kobe Was Disrespected In CBS All-Time List - He's Right

CBS sports created waves yesterday when they released a top 15 list of players all time in the NBA. Before you pull your hair out looking at the list, there is no particular person to direct your anger towards because it was voted as a panel. Rip Hamilton, who was apart of that panel, appeared to have been an outlier on his opinion of where Kobe Bryant should have landed. Bryant came in at No.10 and Rip (rightly so) believed it was “disrespectful” to put him that far down on the list, for the record, he had him tied for 2 with LeBron. “First of all, whoever voted and put Kobe [at 10] just flat ..read more

Draymond Pops Off Again, This Time On Shaq
Uncontested

It appears Draymond Green has gotten restless during his time away from basketball and instead of taking shots at players on the court, he’s decided to poke the bear off it. Draymond made an appearance on the “All The Smoke” podcast and said his teammate Steph Curry and himself would have “destroyed” Shaq in the pick-and-roll. Not a good strategy to come at one of the greatest centers of all time. News trickled up to Shaq and his rebuttal was: "I like Draymond. I like guys that voice their opinion, I try not to get personal with guys. I like him, I like the way he plays. You have to listen to ..read more

Problems At Purdue? Nojel Eastern Transferring
Uncontested
by Ryan Tippett

Purdue has taken a massive hit in just the last month, first Matt Haarms blindsides the program by announcing his transfer and now another blow with Nojel Eastern entering the portal. Eastern was expected to be the lone senior leader on next years team. He’s a 6’7 guard that can play the point position, not much of a scoring threat but an extremely well-rounded player. He appeared in 104 games for the Boilermakers in 3 years and was a starter for the last 2. Eastern and Haarms combined to only average 13.5 per game but it’s more about what they’re losing on the defensive end. Eastern made the ..read more

On This Date Kawhi Leonard Ripped The Heart Out Of Philly Fans

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChT3ewZXTfM I could watch this over and over and over again. This might be the craziest game winning shot ever, right? There's probably been more important ones, but there's never been one that's had a funky bounce or roll like this one. The ball was bouncing on the rim for what felt like an eternity. I could've switched a load of laundry from the time that Leonard put the shot up to the time that it finally went in. The shot was seemingly a dud as it thudded off the rim. My quick initial reaction was that the game was going into OT. But then the ball hit the ri ..read more

Kyrie Irving Wants To Play Kemba Walker One-On-One

Ohh baby is this fun. Basketball fans rejoice! Well, atleast just let your imagination run wild for a bit. For some time we’ve known Kyrie says some off the wall things, but this idea I love. I would tune in anytime to watch a match up of maybe the two best scoring guards in NBA history. I truly have no idea how it would end up looking without others on the court but we can look back at some of their recent matchups and see what that can tell us. My hunch is that Kyrie is the more talented of the two but Kemba is tough and gritty and there’s something to be said about that in a one on one matc ..read more

Word To The Wise: Don't Sleep On WVU

Every single year there’s a team in each conference that sneaks up on everybody, everyone but me. I’m going to scour through each conference and pick a team that is going to surprise their respective leagues with the possibility of winning the regular season conference titles. We haven’t talked in depth about the Big12 so far this offseason other than Kansas’ formal response to their notice of allegations and incoming freshman Cade Cunningham. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfnetEjAhvM I took a deep dive into the conference and each teams’ respective rosters and one thing stood out to me: we ..read more
