A man was arrested for allegedly disrobing and threatening customers with a knife at a Simi Valley gym on Saturday night. The suspect was identified as Jhovan Rojo, 31, by the Simi Valley Police Department. A Simi Valley man was sentenced Wednesday after stabbing his girlfriend over 30 times and assaulting her mother. A woman was forcefully assaulted and robbed in her Simi Valley driveway Monday night, police say. A Simi Valley man accused of stabbing his girlfriend more than 30 times and assaulting her mother has been found guilty of murder. Euren Balbuena, 32, was convicted by a Ventura County jury on Tuesday. The jury found Balbuena guilty of using a knife to kill his girlfriend, Zaira Patino-Trejo, as well as inflicting "great bodily injury" to her mother. A Southern California woman fell to her death while hiking a steep, craggy peak in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park on Friday. Park rangers say Joy Cho of Simi Valley was hiking with seven other people when she fell off the west side of Teewinot Mountain in the early morning.
