BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) - A Springfield man is in the Bay County jail, facing child porn charges. Bay County Sheriff's investigators said they arrested 22-year-old Michael Hellum after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.  According to authorities, he was allegedly circulating child pornography videos on social media, and then selling the clips to people who contacted him. When investigators arrived at his Springfield home, they said Hellum was trying to delete video files from his cell phone. Bay County EMS expecting new vehicle maintenance facility

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) — Bay County emergency services are trying to cut vehicle maintenance costs. They plan on doing so through a new, in-house maintenance facility.  Emergency vehicles get a lot of preventative work done so they run efficiently when needed, but maintenance costs add up quickly. First ever 'Born Learning' trail comes to Bay County

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) —A local company is partnering with a civic organization to celebrate Earth Day. Volunteers from United Way of Northwest Florida and Kraton Corporation unveiled a 'Born Learning' trail. This is the first-born learning trail in Bay County. Born Learning is part of the United Way campaign to help parents and caregivers turn simple moments into opportunities for learning. PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — Florida gas prices are on the rise. The state has reached a new high for this year at the average price of $3.64 a gallon. It's only been four months and Florida gas prices have set a new high for 2024. Last year's high was $3.85 a gallon, we are currently sitting at $3.64 a gallon. Work started in January of 2022 to install over three miles of sidewalks along Front Beach.
