Two people were hospitalized after the car they were traveling in slammed into the side of a medical building and overturned in Pomona Monday night. Emergency personnel responded to the incident shortly after 11 p.m. when a vehicle exiting the 10 Freeway lost control and crashed on East Artesia Street. A reward is being offered in the search for the suspect who shot and killed a teenager at a party in Pomona. The victim was identified as Christian Ramirez, 19, by the Pomona Police Department.  On Friday, Sept. 23, 2023, Ramirez attended a party on the 1500 block of E. First Street at around 10:40 p.m., he was shot and killed by an unknown suspect. A 20-year-old woman has been arrested in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian in Pomona that occurred less than 90 minutes into the new year. Isabella Ortega was taken into custody on Tuesday, a day after the death of 23-year-old Khailyn Garcia Sanchez, the Pomona Police Department said in a news release. The sting operation targeted sex purchasers and human trafficking in the area near East Holt Avenue and Indian Hill Boulevard, according to the Pomona Police Department.
