Several people are hurt after a shooting in Yuma late Saturday night. Yuma police say they got a report of an aggravated assault at a gathering just before 11 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they found several people hurt. All told, seven people are being treated at hospitals in the area for possible gunshot wounds, according to police. The extent of the injuries are not known at this point. No one is in custody in connection with the shooting at this point. Police believe there is no remaining threat to the community. A 17-year-old has been arrested after allegedly stabbing two men early Saturday morning in Yuma. Police say they responded to the call just after 2:30 a.m. and found a 23-year-old man with a stab wound. Officers investigating the scene found out the 23-year-old was stabbed at a nearby residence, and that a 20-year-old man was also stabbed. Both of the men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities say a prisoner who walked off during work duty in San Luis, Arizona, has been found and returned to custody.According to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Jonathan Perryman was working Monday morning with a crew and was later unaccounted for.Perryman is a minimum custody work crew member and was working at the recreation center in San Luis at the time. A Yuma man was sentenced to life in prison in the shooting death of a woman two years ago whose body was found in a citrus grove.Jorge Alan Aguilar-Hernandez, 23, had previously pleaded guilty to murder in the Nov. 3, 2020, killing of Kirstion Fish, 22.
