NEW ORLEANS (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - At least ten people were arrested during a pro-Palestinian protest in New Orleans over the weekend. Police say about three dozen Palestinian supporters gathered in Jackson Square on Sunday afternoon. They hung signs, displayed the Palestinian flag and set up at least 10 green tents on the lawn around the statue of Andrew Jackson. LOS ANGELES (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - One person died in a house fire in South Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported. The fire broke out around 6:18pm Sunday in a one-story single-family home on 71st Street in South Los Angeles. The fire, contained to a single room, was put out by about 40 firefighters in 14 minutes, LAFD said. A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead in his residence. SAN ANTONIO (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Two people are dead and four others were wounded during a shooting in San Antonio, Texas early Sunday morning. The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) say two men opened fire on each other towards the end of a Market Square fiesta event taking place. Officers returned fire on one of the people involved, fatally shooting him. MINDEN, Iowa (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Officials in Minden, Iowa have confirmed that one person was killed after a tornado struck Friday night. A Pottawattamie County spokesperson confirmed to NBC News that a total for four people were injured by the storm. Unfortunately, one of those injured succumbed to their wounds after being taken to the hospital. EL CAJON, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A pilot was injured after a small plane crashed near a California neighborhood on Sunday. The small plane narrowly missed several homes in the El Cajon neighborhood. People were urged to avoid the area for four to six hours following the crash. Authorities say the plane crashed on a sidewalk, close to a power line. Before crashing, the plane was headed for Gillespie Field, which was about two and a half miles away. KENNER, La. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A suspect is dead and three officers injured after an hours long standoff in Kenner, Louisiana. The scene unfolded Sunday morning when two people were shot and injured outside of a home in Kenner, with one critically injured. Police arrived at the location and engaged in a standoff with the suspect inside the home.
