NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) -- One person injured after shooting in Newport News on Saturday, April 20, police said. Police responded to the 100 block of Rivermont Drive around 10:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a man with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He declined treatment. The preliminary investigation revealed that two men who knew each other were in a verbal dispute prior to a shooting which occurred nearby in the 0 block of Tilson Drive. UPDATE: Virginia State Police say Alyssa Auche was found safe. NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News woman has gone missing and is considered endangered, according to police. Alyssa Auche The Newport News Police Department is looking for Alyssa Auche, 34. She is described as a White woman about 5-foot-2 and 170 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. (WAVY) -- A Gloucester man was sentenced on April 17 to 12 years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine, a release states. 42-year-old Jeremy John Gleason began selling meth in Gloucester as early as May 2020, according to court documents. He was part of a conspiracy involving five other individuals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gleason went “dry."
