Arizona State and four former members of its football coaching staff have reached an agreement with the NCAA on penalties for impermissible in-person contact with recruits during the COVID-19 dead period. Two others are contesting portions of their respective cases via a written record hearing, according to a release by the NCAA on Friday. The Tempe Police Department is asking for the public's help after a man was found dead in March. Joseph Lemons' body was found around 1 p.m. on March 12 near Priest Drive and Rio Salado Parkway. Officials say the investigation showed the victim's body to be at the location since earlier that day or the night before. Lemons was previously seen in the area of McClintock Drive and Apache Boulevard, about five miles east of where his body was found. Police did not say when he was seen in that area. Its a legacy our community continues to celebrate. About 30,000 people ran and walked in Tempe Saturday morning to honor the life of Pat Tillman. Tillman played for Arizona State University and then went on to play for the Arizona Cardinals where he then decided to put his NFL career on hold. Tillman joined the military and was killed by friendly fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2004. One person is dead and another is hurt after a possible DUI crash early Saturday morning in Tempe. Tempe police say they were called to the area near 48th Street and Southern Avenue around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a crash. When officers arrived they found two cars involved. Two people were taken to the hospital from the scene for their injuries. One of those people reportedly died at the hospital. That victim has not yet been identified. A man is in custody accused of assaulting three women on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University.
