LOOSING A FRIENDSHIP__DEVOTION #6
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, PSALM 30:11 [NLT] Throughout my life, I have experienced difficult periods of time regarding my friends. As a teenager, I found keeping a sense of joy in my heart to be quite incapacitating, especially when I believed them to be with me in my life for all times. It would be one thing if they had died; otherwise, it left me pondering what went wrong in our relationship, especially if there had been no closure to what might have happened. Losing a friend, particularly a good frien ..read more

My dearest Sisters-in-Christ, If you’re a Christian woman, would you describe yourself as being the following in the poem below? This is what I’ve discovered in my journey in trying to be a good Christian woman, I am a 73-year-old faith-driven one now. I am a Christian woman, For looking at is what you see. I am a Christian woman, For this is what the Lord made me to be. . I am a Christian woman, As I share the Lord’s word each day. I am a Christian woman, What more is there to say. . I am a Christian woman, For in me the Lord’s planted a seed. I am a Christian woman, For giving birth is a goo ..read more

TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN

Being a 73-year-old faith-driven Christian woman, and despite the fact that my dear OH and I weren’t blessed with any children, primarily due to my having a genetic condition that I didn’t want to pass on to any child, especially if it would have been a daughter, I find myself wanting all of my younger sisters-in-Christ to see themselves as the Lord sees them. While I am posting affirmations elsewhere on my blog so they can be the best they can be in the eyes of the Lord. I want the posts I am doing here to serve as a CHRISTIAN WOMAN’s GUIDE TO LIFE. I want each of you reading this to realize ..read more

This is a reposting from: https://www.christianwomenatwork.com/post/work-hard-and-be-nice-4-min-read By Christian Woman 05/02/21 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” (Psalm 32:8) As I look back on my childhood, I am reminded of the values my parents instilled in me. Values which I have carried into my professional life. “Work hard” and “be nice” are principles they modeled as I was growing up that I try to bring with me to work. “Work hard” is not about being perfect; it is about doing my best. “Be nice” is not about being ..read more

My dear sisters-in-Christ, let us be truthful; one of the main things that many of the things that we are concerned about deals with our vanity and how beautiful we look when we present ourselves to others. But, given the Christian women that we are, shouldn’t we realize that this is of no intrinsic value when it comes to the eyes of the Lord, but possessing a sense of humility is? We can find this written about when we read 1 PETER 3:3-4 [NKJV]: [3] “Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—” [4] “rather let it be the hidden pers ..read more

COMMUNICATION TIPS #6 – NEVER TALK TRASH
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN

As a Christian woman being married for 30+ years to my dear OH, I have learned there is far more than one facet to what is called communication, which comprises most of the secrets of successful marriages, as well as many of the devastating marriage failures. A successful marriage, from my experience, involves the swapping of information in couples without any attempt to hurt one another. I happen to be overweight, and if my OH would dare to say something like, “What you are wearing makes you look fat.” I would hate it and probably might slap his face hard.” On the other hand, if he would say ..read more

NEW AFFIRMATION – CHRISTIAN WOMEN #20
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN
by R. L. Morgan

Since this blog is about us being the best we can be in the eyes of the Lord, we need to start making and using affirmations through which we will be able to affirm who we are as a Chrisitan woman. As a Christian woman: Endeavoring to provide admiration to the Lord, causes my physical make-up to disclose what is in my heart. As a Christian woman, I love turning to Scripture to find what I need to read so I can better reflect on this affirmation, which is what has been written in PROVERBS 27:19 [NLT] “As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person.” Have a BLESSED WEDNES ..read more

With my being a 73-year-old faith-driven Christian woman who now has her own online ministry on Facebook, I still felt a need to include something from the words of the Lord here on this blog, so I will be doing a random Scripture from the NKJV Bible for my followers to reflect on. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. MATTHEW 6:33 Your comments and feedback would be appreciated. Have a BLESSED WEDNESDAY, my dear sisters-in-Christ, from me and my dear OH of the past 30 years !!! Please subscribe to my blog ..read more

EVERY TEN YEARS
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN
by R. L. Morgan

Every ten years, the monks in a monastery are allowed to break their vow of silence to speak two words. Ten years go by and it’s one monk’s first chance. He thinks for a second before saying, “Food bad.” Ten years later, he says, “Bed hard.” Another ten years pass and again the monk is allowed his two words. He gives the head monk a long stare and says, “I quit.” “I’m not surprised,” the head monk says. “You’ve been complaining ever since you got here ..read more

SAYING THINGS YOU WILL LATER REGRET__DEVOTION #5
TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.” ROMANS 12:18-19 Given this, you, my young Christian girls, are probably asking yourselves the following question: Who in my life do I need to live at peace with? As a Christian teenage girl, I had pondered this question time and time again, as I constantly thought and believed that it would be impossible to live in harmony with those around me each day. Living i ..read more
