“To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ” 2 Thes.1:11-12 We have been focusing on praying for our church and pastors. This week we pray that God would always be glorified in all things and Jesus’ name be exalted above all others. It is very easy to get caught up in the latest trend on building up your church, how to attract guests and k ..read more

Jesus is the only name that brings peace, hope and the path of salvation. In today’s culture there is so much uncertainty and confuse, now is not the time for the church to become quiet or timid. Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. As we continue our journey with how to pray for your church, today we address the church to become a praying church. When we look at Colossians 4:2, Paul mentions two important aspects of prayer. First, believers are to be “watchful” in prayer. This carries the idea of standing guard, or staying awake at night to make sure a location is safe. Prayer demands ongoing attention, just like the guard at a city gate. In practical terms, this means prayer is not supposed to be a careless, casual, or frivolous act. We should pra ..read more

Prayer, the very thing that binds us in our relationship with our Father. It is the foundation to everything that we do in our lives. Prayer is the key to the life of a healthy church, too. Within our church we recently formed a team of individuals who believe in the power of prayer. This team’s mission is called, Pastors Prayer Partners. Their job is to not only pray for their pastors , but for the church. A church built upon prayer becomes a living organism that needs to be fed and nurtured where an atmosphere is created for multiplication. We multiply by making disciples. How do we make disc ..read more

Now when Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and when he lowered his hand [due to fatigue], Amalek prevailed. 12But Moses’ hands were heavy and he grew tired. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so it was that his hands were steady until the sun set. Exodus 17: 11-12 We are entering the time of the year where children are going back to school. The excitement of new school supplies and clothes can be heard up and down the aisles of the stores. Who didn’t get excited ab ..read more

“This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth, you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.” Joshua 1:8 It has been quite awhile since I last blogged. God has been gloriously moving, showing Himself faithful and true. There has been a lot of changes in life with teaching online, ministry within the church and other ministry opportunities. Clarity becomes necessary to make sure I am following and choosing the correct path. Sometimes, if you are like me, uncertainty can s ..read more

It has been some time since I have been able to share with you . Life happens . Time flies . Before you know it, a new year has arrived. With a year of great change behind us ,there has been a shift in culture and even in the church. While some changes were obvious, there was a change, a shift that took place in the “church”. It came in slowly, almost stealth-like, quietly. It was the quietness of Double Mindedness. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8 It is this scripture that keeps ringing in my ears. The subtlety of the enemy looks much like a snake weaving ever so qu ..read more

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love. ” Eph.1:3-4 Can you think of anything greater than to be loved and chosen by God? I recently started a new adventure, a side gig, if you will. This side gig landed in my lap and so began a journey into uncharted territory. I started teaching English remotely to children in China . It has stretched me in ways I didn’t know I needed. But it has shown me areas I need to be stretched in so I can be reminded that who I am and my abilities come from Him. Circumstances of life can often try to define who we are. Situations, sickness, our past are all things that can shape who we are…if we don’t have a clear understanding not just who we are but whose we are. Recently, I had a les ..read more
