The first segment of the Link 2 Line on the Eastside opens on Saturday, April 27th. In celebration of this, the City of Bellevue is displaying art from Sound Transit at City Hall that showcases the building of the agency’s Link lines 1 and 2.
City Hall is open during business hours and the display will be located on the second floor through the fall. The art exhibit, “Modeling Motion & Link in Process” highlights the complexity of building a modern transit system.

Bellevue Farmer’s Market to Return May 23rd
The opening day of the Bellevue Farmer’s Market is near. Beginning May 23rd, the market will be happening every Thursday through October 24th, from 3pm to 7pm.
The market offers seasonal fruits & vegetables, cut flowers, local meats, artisan goods, and cuisine. This year, there will be over 40 vendors participating.
The Farmer’s Market is located at 1717 Bellevue Way Northeast, in the parking lot of Bellevue Presbyterian Church. Dogs are allowed but need to stay close to their owners on leashed.

Bellevue Police Department’s K9, Walter, apprehended a 26-year-old suspect who was involved in an incident in the Wilburton neighborhood.
The action began when officers spotted a suspicious Silver Toyota Corolla at the Home Depot on 120th Avenue NE during their routine patrol. When they approached, the vehicle fled the scene. A check of the license plate revealed it had been reported stolen by the Tukwila Police Department.

Paws & Pride Dog Walk
Paws & Pride Dog Walk, Bellevue’s largest LGBTQIA+ event, is set to return for its second year on Saturday, June 1. This year, it will be located at Bellevue Downtown Park. Hosted by the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) and Eastside Pride PNW, and presented by sponsor Symetra, this event will kick off Pride Month with an array of activities and a walk around the park.

According to Sound Transit, no matter what direction you’re heading on the 2 Line when it opens this spring, you’ll be greeted by artwork. The 2 Line officially opens on April 27. The segment is 6.5 miles and features eight new stations in Bellevue and Redmond.

Bellevue Arts Museum recently announced the success that its six-week SAVE BAM campaign had. With over 300 donations ranging from $10 – $145,000, the museum raised $349,185. This exceeded the original goal of $300,000.

According to a permit for the City of Bellevue, a new boba tea shop is planning to open in downtown Bellevue. Choo Tea will be located at 155 108th Avenue Northeast.
The milk tea shop will feature fruit tea, milk tea, coffee, egg waffles, sandwiches, and more. The space will be divided into a dining area, front desk, kitchen, and storage room.
Choo Tea will be going into the Bellevue Plaza building. Bake’s Place is also located here. It first opened in 2012. The dining and music venue provides a jazz scene to the downtown Bellevue nightlife.
