The Irvine Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying the driver of a black Jaguar XJ who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian in a crosswalk. On Friday, August 12, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 31-year-old woman was crossing Encanto at Molino in the City of Irvine when she was struck by a passing vehicle. SANTA ANA, Calif. – A 26-year-old Irvine man was convicted today of two counts of second-degree murder for killing two women in a high-speed 2017 drunk driving crash in Irvine. The driver had been warned just before the crash that he should not be driving after a night of heavy drinking. Norman Martin, 26, of Irvine, was convicted of killing Jamie R. The 1980 murder of a 42-year-old Irvine wife and mother has been solved by the Newport Beach Police Department through the use of investigative genetic genealogy and new forensic crime solving techniques.
