New jobless claims last week fell again in Spartanburg County and statewide, the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce announced Thursday.For the week ending July 25, 12,194 people filed initial first-time claims for unemployment benefits statewide, a decrease of 2,152 initial claims from the previous week.In the last 19 weeks since the start of the pandemic, a total of 697,619 initial claims have been filed statewide.Spartanburg County reported 587 new ..read more
