Arlington County police were reportedly engaged in a standoff with a pair of criminal suspects in a parking garage this afternoon. The incident started just after 4 p.m. on the P5 level of the Pentagon City mall garage, when a vehicle with two suspects inside allegedly rammed a police cruiser and refused officer commands to get out of the car. A standoff ensued, with officers awaiting the arrival of negotiators and a SWAT team, according to initial reports. The mall and the garage remained open. The upscale market Foxtrot has closed its Rosslyn store permanently as the company shuts down. The Chicago-based operator of dozens of Foxtrot and Dom’s Kitchen and Market stores said today that is closing all locations effective immediately, including in Alexandria, D.C. and Bethesda.
