DE PERE – The De Pere Redbirds and Notre Dame (NDA) Tritons boys tennis teams opened their official Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) seasons on Tuesday, April 16 with their first in conference matches of 2024.
Despite poor weather conditions, the Tritons bested the Redbirds with a final team score of 6-1.
Notre Dame’s Alex Thomas won his match for No. 1 singles with a final score of 6-2, 6-3.

SUAMICO – With a 20-mph wind from the northwest and a little rain thrown in, the Green Bay Preble softball team used some small ball, timely hitting and clutch pitching to eke out a 6-5 Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) victory on April 16 over Bay Port.
With the Hornets (6-1 overall, 5-1 FRCC) leading 6-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Pirates (3-3, 3-1) got their first two batters – Estelle Finlan and Hailey Montie – aboard via walks.

Todd A. Borremans, 65, Seymour, WI, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024. He was born on November 29th 1958 in Green Bay to the late Robert and Delores (Johnson) Borremans.On October 9th 1976 Todd married Joan Nicklas and his love never wavered. GREEN BAY – Work on the $44 million renovation of the historic hotel lasted through 2016 and into 2017.
But, as the redevelopment progressed, so did costs.
Legal battles and funding issues soon brought work to a halt completely in June.

GREEN BAY – Senator Rob Cowles (R-Green Bay) will not seek reelection to his District 2 Wisconsin State Senate seat.
Cowles, 73, was elected to the Wisconsin Assembly in 1982 and resigned five years later, after winning a seat in the Senate.
