Killeen, TX (November 21, 2023): On Thursday, November 16, 2023, officers conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Dart for a traffic violation. Through the investigation, the driver gave officers consent to search the vehicle and illegal narcotics were located. Detectives with the Organized Crime Unit arrived to assist in the investigation. Two (2) handguns were located (one stolen out of McClennan County), 187.5 grams of Methamphetamine, 3 grams of powder cocaine, 2 grams of marijuana, 7.3 grams of crack cocaine, and $2,486.00 cash. Killeen, TX (November 14, 2023): Killeen police are investigating after human remains were found Tuesday afternoon. Officers were dispatched at approximately 2:56 p.m. to the 1700 block of Copperfield Circle after witnesses told them remains were found in a wooded area. The remains will be sent for an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas to determine the cause of death and identity.
