People who live on McArdle near Kostoryz have been complaining about a vacant building for years, and yesterday, the walls came tumbling down. This old nursing home on the 3100 block of McArdle shut down years ago. A spokesperson for development services tells us the building had become an "attractive nuisance." McConnell Unit working to repair total power outage

KRIS 6 News has confirmed that a partial power outage occurred at the McConnell Unit in Beeville on Thursday, with a total outage occurring on Friday. A concerned mother called the station about this situation, leading KRIS 6 News reporters to reach to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. According to the Director of Communications Amanda Hernandez, emergency generators are being used to help manage the outage and there is also staff onsite working to repair it. The Ingleside fire chief and a fellow firefighter taste-tested some of the award-winning sausages made by the Ingleside High School BBQ team. "Its got a good smoked flavor to it. Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital held a symposium today to bring together clinical experts and community partners to see their new simulation equipment. Work has officially wrapped up on the Rodd Field Road expansion project. The project was part of the 2020 bond proposal, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this morning for the project.
