Hi All
It’s been a while since I’ve put pen to paper.
As you have seen we made a decision in September 2023 to sell our home in Kerry, it was a difficult call but we needed to regenerate our finances and get a smaller home……. Basically we never advertised the house, it was not on the market but our auctioneer found a buyer fast, and the house sold from start to finish in 7 weeks. It was close to a new record for Ian and the family that bought the house were absolutely lovely. Ian is still in contact with them.
By November we were in rented accommodation in Killarney.

Mums 6th anniversary
Tenerife 1996
April 9th is engraved deep in my heart.
The photo above was taken in 1996 at a show we went to in Tenerife, it was Mother’s Day. Roughly 28 years ago last week. One of the many holidays we had together.
April 8th 2018 Susan, her husband Ian and myself held our mum close as she left this earth. It was not an easy passing as Mum fought to her last very last breath.
My Mum was more than my mother, she was my most trusted friend, advisor and teacher. The irony of grief, the person you most needed to talk to is gone
6 years later the pain of loss is ..read more

In 1980 Johnny Logan won the Eurovision song contest with “What’s another year” and I had considered using this song within this artice but I felt it just didn’t really work with the message I wanted to protray here
This year has been a difficult one in so many ways for us. January started badly with a chap I first met in Dublin back in 1983, Charlie Chapman we became friends in 1999, one of the best entertainers I have ever met. Charlie had a sudden but fatal heart attack in Old Trafford accompanied by his son watching Man United vs Everton RIP Charlie.
Rest in peace Charlie

Personal dislike for all Friday 13th “What can go wrong will go wrong” 99% of every other date/day of the year I wouldn’t entertain a quote like that I’m more “ What can go wrong can be sorted” but historically Friday 13th’s don’t turn out well. And of all days it’s a hospital appointment for advanced treatment with a twist.
IVIG plus IVIGs and another trial cancer drug that I will not be explaining inside this article, what I am prepared to say is that it is classed as a once off targeted infusion of incredible strength, the trials have shown fascinating results but not covered by public or ..read more

Cancer Warrior: Terry’s Sarcoma War 2022 – 2023
In June 2023 Terry and myself decided to stop updating this article due to a medical changes in Terry’s diagnoses
These changes related to the new sarcoma sites that appeared to be more evasive to the clinical trial drugs.
Terry continued to battle Sarcoma and was relentless in his approach.
It is with a heavy heart that today 20th of September 2023 our beautiful friend passed away in Lanzarote

11th of September 2001 9/11
A day that changed our lives
But where were you that day…
We were living in Lanzarote. In 1999 I opened a pub called Nancy Spain’s in Puerto del Carmen and after two successful years I decided to employ a full time manager, someone I had known and trusted since I arrived on the island. As a formality we needed to agree and sign contracts. So at 12:30 on the 11th of September 2001 we sat together outside the bar, and just prior to the first news report Terry Green and myself signed employment contracts. Anita was inside the bar watching TV and called us in. We sat ..read more
