A person died in a car crash Saturday morning after a driver allegedly ran a red light in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The collision occurred at 9:42 a.m. near the intersection of Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East, authorities said. A woman was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander southbound on 20th when she ran a red light at the intersection with Avenue J-8, according to the sheriff's department. Reward offered for suspect who shot and killed Army veteran in Lancaster

A reward is being offered for information on a suspect wanted for the murder of an Army veteran in Lancaster.  The victim was identified as Ismael Zabala, 26. The suspects allegedly involved were Oscar Palazuelos, 19, and Ervin Alvarez, 25, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Loved ones are searching for a missing woman who was last seen in Lancaster on Jan. 26. The woman was identified as Azhanae Lawsha Moy, 28, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. She also goes by the nickname “Ryder.”  Her last known location was on the 44200 block of Gingham Avenue. Moy is described as a Black woman standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. Authorities are searching for a missing boy who was last seen in Lancaster earlier this week. The boy was identified as Adrianne Maurice Sorto, 14, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A deputy responding to a domestic violence call fatally shot a woman said to be armed with a kitchen knife in Lancaster Monday. Metrolink will be offering more late night service on weekdays and doubling the amount of trains in service on weekends along its Antelope Valley line beginning Oct. 23.
