Press Release SOUTH BEND — The Indiana State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting involving a police officer with the Notre Dame Police Department. Preliminary information indicates at 4:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, police officers responded to a burglary in progress near the 1300 block of Corby Boulevard in South Bend. Press Release SOUTH BEND — A Goshen man will serve just over eight years in prison and must pay over $2.3 million in restitution for committing wire and securities fraud. Earl D. Miller, 44, Goshen, was sentenced on Thursday, Nov. 30, by United States District Court Senior Judge Jon E. DeGuilio on guilty verdicts returned by a federal jury after a five-day jury trial in May 2022.
