HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A 38-year-old Hampton man was shot multiple times while getting out of his car on Butler Drive Monday evening, police said. Hampton Police said responded to a call at around 9:36 p.m. in reference to a shooting in the 1st block of Butler Drive, and found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A preliminary investigation indicated that the man was getting out of his vehicle when an unknown suspect pulled up in another vehicle and started shooting at the man, who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Before the bridge, the only way to get across the water was by ferry. It's something Lucius Kellam III remembers well. His father, Lucius J.
