SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- One man has been sentenced for the murder of Cesar Martinez, a U.S. Army veteran whose body was found on the side of Bangerter Highway near 8000 South in 2022. Mario Alberto Carreto-Morales was sentenced to 15 years to life for the first-degree felony murder of Martinez. He was also sentenced to 15 years to life for the first-degree felony kidnapping of a second victim. 200 gallons of diesel fuel leaks into Parley's Creek after semi-truck crash

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- A semi-truck crash along I-80 in Parley's Canyon has led to an estimated 200 gallons of diesel being leaked into Parley's Canyon and into Tanner's and Sugar House Park. Salt Lake City Fire Department Captain Brandt Hancuff said the truck jack-knifed up Parley's Canyon about 4 a.m. this morning. The crash damaged the truck leading it to spill hundreds of gallons of fuel into a nearby storm drain.
