LYNVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) - After decades of only having a Lynnville town marshal, history was made on Wednesday. Two deputy marshals were sworn in, marking the beginning of the town's first ever police department. Deputy Marshals Clint Denton and Adam Oakley are taking on part time roles. The two were hand picked by Town Marshal Mike Mitchell. Deputy Denton says law enforcement is his calling. "It's exciting for me, because we're working from the ground floor. 7 arrested in Muhlenberg County for meth trafficking since April 15

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force announced that seven people have been arrested in the county since April 15 for trafficking methamphetamine. According to a release, Wilma Moore, 56, of Greenville was charged on April 15 with trafficking over two grams of methamphetamine after being indicted by the Muhlenberg Grand Jury. Trevor McDaniel, 25; and Colton Price, 20, both of Morgantown, were also arrested at the Rochester Dam after trying to sell methamphetamine. HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- The Evansville Police Department shared details on their investigation into former Evansville Fire Chief Paul Anslinger. According to documents, the investigation concerns missing tools from the Evansville Fire Department. Documents list the crime as theft/embezzlement. No other information was shared. Jury deliberates in Evansville murder case

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- A Vanderburgh County jury is deliberating in an Evansville murder case. Brandon Schaefer was arrested after a body was found partially submerged in a creek on the north side in January of last year. Police said Schaefer told detectives that he did not know the victim and admitted that he approached the victim and shot him.
